Very neat presentation, I can see the appeal of this storage method.

Cool! Love all the beetles. Which Amblycheila spp. is that in the third box?

Wow, I have to say that beetle enthusiasts certainly have a sharp eye for beetles !
Indeed, that is a really nice singular example of that genus which I acquired in the purchase of a small beetle collection (of seven drawers); from a collector in Colorado.
It has full data as everything else that came with it was very well documented. I don't believe it was determined to species and I am only a partial enthusiast when it comes to beetles.
I will try sometime (if you like) to get a better close-up picture of it and will provide its data.
That beetle sure is a ferocious looking beastie !

A nice pair of Manticora, probably from South Africa, second drawer, top row, as well. Cool beetles.

If the Amblycheila was collected in Colorado then it's probably either A. cylindriformis or (much less likely) A. picolominii. A. cylindriformis are not all that uncommon in the right habitat in western Kansas and eastern Colorado.
