Incredible specimens !!
I have no idea how you are able to run across some of these things but, your repository of Phasmida is simply amazing.
I have never seen anything the likes of those "mossy looking" sticks or that one amazing and large undetermined species.
What sights to behold...
Thank you very much for sharing your good fortune with us.

I finally managed to have some "hobby time" and proceeded to get some more Phasmida pictures. *If for some reason these are too large to view then please view them on your cellphone. This 1st one was acquired by me about 3 years ago. This next one was owned by me for several years but, it was exchanged with a friend (who desired it) in a trade. This is a really colorful and large species which my friend managed to purchase 3 years ago for about $40.00 Here is another "spiny" type of species which is amongst my friend's 11 drawer collection. Lastly, I feature THE most incredible Phasmida offering which I have ever encountered on Ebay. It was listed as Phobaeticus kirbyi (pair) and the asking price was $265.00 plus shipping. As much as I wrestled with the cost; it came to me that I would be taking a big gamble in hopes of receiving such a piece (in ANY one singular piece) so, I bailed on my idea of the purchase of the pair. So, for those of you who have glanced upon this thread you can readily see that walkingsticks offer a plethora of variety, color, and amazing evolutionary adaptiveness befitting of these "old men of the woods".

Those are some really great additions to the thread Trehopr1!! And it brought back a few memories for me. That wingless, large green "lobed" specimen you previously owned is Hermachus morossus. Like yourself, I also owned a specimen and then ended up parting with it, which I now regret as I have not been able to acquire another one since then! I'm glad you shared a photo of Paracyphocrania major. I nearly did but haven't gotten to it yet. Very nice species. They are readily available at the moment, but you just never know when a species will go off the market, sometimes for good! I had to laugh about what you said regarding the Phobaeticus kirbyi. I nearly bought a pair myself not long ago, but passed, partially because of the reasons you stated! I'm also pleased that you showed the spiny "lobed" specimen! I photographed a couple of papered individuals but hadn't posted them yet. I have a couple other additional, very similar specimens as well. All of mine are unidentified by the sellers, but I believe at least one of mine, and most likely the one you showed, are Cotylosoma carlottae. Now with your better photo of a spread specimen, we can see what the wings look like! Here is a nice winged specimen (unidentified) from Buru Island - not particularly huge or rare but it has some nice patterns and colors.

Here is a nice variety of wing patterns in various large showy Phasma species of Indonesia. None of these specimens are identified - only stating "Phasma" species. The most common Phasma in the trade has been Phasma gigas. I would show that for comparison but none of my Phasma gigas specimens have their wings spread yet. Trehopr1 - I have a number of papered Australian stick species - I'll try to get some photos and post them. A couple of antennae do need re-attached as they commonly break loose during shipping. These are not "properly" prepared yet! Perhaps it should also be noted that these are all relatively recent specimens and have never been exposed to light for any length of time. The more “pale” colors are not faded yellow specimens as far as I know. I’m not saying colors have not changed from when they were living, but some Phasma species do have stronger yellow in their wings, such as the upper left specimen. These are amazing. Were you able to pick the species and colors beforehand, or was this a random mix that you acquired?

Thank you nomihaudai. They were purchased individually from various sources. I was able to see each one before purchase.
