try to contact lehrmittelberlin.de/, the side is in german only but you can use translation from google. Prise are okay, just the transpowrt to the US might be expensive. Joachim Off topic, I love that store! It used to be called Fiebig Lehrmittel. They had the back room with fabulous specimens from old collections. It's been decades since I've been there. Chuck Yes i know them since end of the 70´s, ufortunately Mr. Fiebig die some time ago and there are new people. I buy from them from time to time, always good yquality. Joachim

Jshuey, How are yours coming? Canada Post? I've been trying for ages to have him do a large shipment by truck delivery, and it's been impossible to arrange... he said he couldn't even get a quote from a trucking company. In normal times, there'd be a good economy of scale in truck delivery. jh Canada Post. They typically come 4 drawers to a box. By the way, our old friend Leroy provided unfinished poplar drawers for less than this - something like $30/drawer. He used a local Amish woodworker - so I'm guessing that he paid half that price. I tried to get him to give up the contact info, and he seemed to think it was a good idea. But he never came through. He did tell me that he had to purchase the glass and all the specialty cutter heads for his guy. I thought about contacting a local Amish shop I used when we rebuilt our kitchen, but for just 20 drawers, it seemed like it would be a lot of bother. j

Exoticimports and Jshuey,
I've twice had drawer shipments via Canada Post arrive with broken glass and/or wood (out of maybe 6-7 shipments), but M. Paquet very kindly replaced the broken items. I was interested in truck delivery because of the cost of Post shipping, but it looks like that advantage has vanished. And the last couple of drawer shipments from Paquet appear to me to have been packed more solidly, too. jh

Me being a cheapscate, I fixed the drawers, and still use them! john

I guess my only real concern is the longevity of the pine wood (vs. poplar) and ability of museum pests to penetrate it. Also what are the fit and tolerances of Atelier's drawers like compared to Bioquip's?

I’ve had pine, poplar, and gum for 30 years. No difference in pests. The difference comes with the seal on the glass and bottom.

The Fiebig shop in Berlin was closed for good at the beginning of this year. There is still the possibility to order some remaining stock on-line The largest entomology supplier in Germany, Schreinerei Heinrich Meier in Munich, has also closed. The owner has retired.

They arrived today. Very well packed - no hint of damage. Great tolerances in the fit. FYI - these are Cal Academy drawers which are thinner than Cornell, but use the same unit trays. I also purchased a bunch of small unit trays, because his price really cannot be beat. John
