Over the last few months I've had four or five posts disappear. So I had become more cognizant of the instances, and kept an eye on possible causes.
It's not for lacking of submitting the post, I've observed the post after being added to the thread. Then it disappears some time later.
It's not the server rebooting, otherwise I'd have to log in again. I mean, I have had to log in again, but not related to a post.
I can't imagine any were intentionally deleted, as that's limited to Moderators, and I presume the Mods to be professional enough to note such activity.
Anyone else have missing posts?
Chuck

I noticed your comment that a post went missing yesterday, but did not see the post you referred to. Presumably it was posted and disappeared between times that I logged on. I can confirm that I have not deleted anything of yours, and if the post was basically as described in the thread I doubt that any other moderator would have deleted it either.
Adam.

I noticed the thread briefly whilst I was at work yesterday however, I (did not) delete it either.
If I thought it was offensive I might have edited it but, either way I would have notified Adam if I had done so...

So maybe it wasn't just me. I had a comment disappear a few weeks ago. I assumed it was purposely deleted. It was an innocent observation, and I simply thought it was deleted for being not completely contributory to the thread. Just sayin'. It was Feb 3, Alandmor's comment about the security certificate. If anyone is wondering- I get an "unsecure" message every time I use Insectnet, as if it's ever mattered.

exoticimports : I have checked and one of your post has been recently deleted by a mod in the Bioquip topic. I guess it didn't respect our forum rules about politics or was legally at risk for Insectnet. Moderators don't have to "note" deleted posts as it will be a long process and not always easy on a phone. But members do have to respect the forum rules. Our rules are very easy to follow kevinkk : I deleted your post as it wasn't linked to the marketplace certificate at all and your answer could be misleading for alandmor. For technical issues, please let the admin team answer. Insectnet has a secured certificate. Put "https" before your url and your insectnet visit will be secured for google chrome (useless anyway as there is no transaction on the core site).

Interesting, sadly interesting. Then this is the only collaboration forum I know of that Mods delete posts with no public record of doing so. Every other research / collaboration forum in which I participate the mods are required to take responsibility for changes to the work of others.
I’ll keep this in mind, thanks.

John, according to the admin log data, you have deleted one message from Chuck in the Bioquip topic. Maybe unintentionally as the "edit" and "delete" buttons are very close.
