Until today, I was unaware that the wings of the great orange-tip ( Hebomoia glaucippe), contain glacontryphan-M, which is the same potent toxin found in cone snails (genus Conus) - www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.1209632109I wonder if H. glaucippe's neotropical equivalent, Anteos menippe, might also have a chemical defense, and for that matter, what about other Pieridae with orange or red tipped forewings?

This is an amazing case of convergent evolution considering that butterflies and cone snails are distantly related.
