I was in Hawaii the other week and caught some specimens. Here are the crabs I found during my trip I hope you enjoy. These are thin shelled rock crabs (Grapsus tenuicrustatus). They crawl around on the rocky shores for food. They are fast and hard to catch, I had to corner these two into a small rock cave to be able to catch them. Here is a horned ghost crab (Ocypode ceratophthalmus). They only come out at night and stay in their burrows during daytime. I have another crab with longer horns but he is too tall to be displayed in this drawer. These are some tiny crabs I found while snorkeling. I don't know what species some of them are yet, feel free to tell me the species names if you know them. This is a colony of barnacles I found in Oregon last year (Semibalanus cariosus). I found them washed up on a beach. I think they look really interesting so now i'm trying to find more barnacle species.
