Does anybody knows where is Cory Dale (Australia)? He received my parcel at the April 3 & was happy with it. After it he asked some time for preparing my parcel. Then i lost any communication with him. He did not answered on my letters until the August 1. No parcel from him during those time. He promised to send my parcel again but after it (August 1) i still don't have any news from him.
I'm very sad on those situation cause near 5 months passed after he promised to send my parcel:(

Very few people have legal export permits from Australia , these permits are very difficult to get for wild caught specimens . So if your friend is opperating illegally you may never see a parcel from him as recently there is a big push by Australian customs to stop illegal trade in insects and other Australian fauna . Sorry to hear about your problems . Good luck.

Dear jackblack! I know that the customs in Australia are very "cruel". But i already got 1 parcel from him earlier & everything was Ok. Plus he did not informed me that the new parcel was sent. He just stopped answers on my letters:(

Yes you may have received a parcel from him , BUT did it have export permits in or attached to the parcel? To legally ship from Australia you need 1. An export permit from the federal environment Dept. 2. A customs clearance permit . So the parcel should have two permits from two depts . If not it is illegally exported . You obviously received one parcel , but if it didn`t have two export permits, then it was shipped illegal, then it may have slipped through customs unnoticed , lucky to get through to you , next time maybe not so lucky .

The main problem with Dale is his silence. He does not answer on my letters. I think that he is a cheater now:(

Sorry to hear about your problem with this guy. If he has no export permit , then maybe customs stop him , so he is silence now ? I hear he is a very active collector.

I have many doubt's that he is in prison now & could not wright a letter. He is a cheater.. So i would recommend people to avoid send their parcel first for him.

i have explained to serj that there are extenuating circumstances at play here. i am not a cheat. i am hoping that this situation can be resolved soon and an appology issued. generally i do not trade for reasons stated in other posts in this thread- now i probably wont be able to again. thanks for that. by the way, i was not entirely happy with the material i was sent- the first parcell had LIVE museum beetle larvae and book lice in several specimens. my material is always stored in napthelene and frozen to kill any nasties like that.
jackblack- im not sure where you heard i am a very active collector. i collect for maybe 3 weeks per year. and usualy only what i need, and all data is passed on to the relevant authorities.

its not going to be ugly. this is just an unfortunate situation that serj is aware of, but is not needed to be public domain. his parcell is packed and will be off this week.
bichos- its comments like this that shy me away from trading and spur on this miss trust in everyone. i am an honest person and have been completely honest with serj. i am sorry he had to post this publicly. this year has been the sh*tiest year of my life all starting with our natural disasters in january. it has been fraught with family problems and medical problems and i dont think i need to say any more. i feel bad that i have not been able to get his parcel ready sooner, but thats just what life has dealt me this year. and now everyone thinks i am a cheat, a fraud and should be in jail. great! i hope serj will post an appology when the package arrives, becuase he is getting the better end of the deal- even if its taken months to get there. i think this will be my last trade. it is too much greif.

Cory I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, seriously. It is in our darkest moments that we need to look deep within and discover the inner light that sparks our creativity and faith, which we need to overcome adversity. Hang in there.
btw I'm not taking sides. All I know is that serj is upset he wants his bugs and is calling you a "cheater" and you are writting from prison now and because jackblack is fuelling the fire they both have some explaining to do, and so I though it would get ugly that's all. Make use of this section of the forum, its not for false accusations, its about truth and revealing who we can trust via our truthful and accurate accounts, which should be free of emotion and useless assumptions.

Yes, Cory wrote me a letter last week. I don't know if he sent my parcel or not. All& all, i hope that he will do it in the nearest future. Of course i will wright about it here without any delay. And yes, few beetles from my first (not the second) parcel for Cory had some problems (those time i had a problems with museum beetles which i "received" from one of my European friends). But there are were many material, incl. Parnassius, and i know that Cory liked it. I also had some small problems with Cory's material (missing claws, etc) but it was not so important cause i like most of the beetles.
It's a very sad situation & i'm very glad that we have those forum. It's really helps us.

Bichos , I`m not fuelling any fire . I just mention the circumstances re export of insects from Australia . Sure we all have lifes problems and life goes on . I was only trying to help the guy that was asking about C.D. and informing him about our strict export regulations, maybe just maybe thats why he didn`t hear from him , but I said nothing to that tune. I didn`t accuse anyone of being a cheat . I note that you didn`t throw in any usefull or helpfull comments to ease the situation. But have a go at me now. So go and fuel your own fire .

@jack... I wonder just how many of us actually do have legal Australian invertebrate export permits from the DoE -> DEWHA -> DSEWPaC -> or whatever name they have this week ??
I reckon we number less than ten and are therefore eligible to be recognised as endangered species...

Hear hear well spoken Bruce . I agree Barry we must be a rare and endangered breed/species. I note on one post I put up re specimen trade a lot of readers but very ( few !) people willing to make a comment . Anyways life goes on.I won`t lose any sleep over it.As I know the only threat to the environment around me is my neighbour with his sprays and bulldozer on his cane farm
