Castro seems generally liked by his people or they are at least indifferent to him. This is true unless you go to South Florida which I call North Cuba. There are many anti Castro Cubans in South Florida and it appears that in order to get votes in Florida, politicians avoid angering them.

John, The situation with Stalin and Beria is uncertain: they both are Georgians, born right on the border between Europe and Asia. I guess, we have to put them in the central part of Hell. Best, Sergey

Sergey: Yes, you are dead on, Georgia is definately on the crossroads between West and East. It is kind of scary, that the man in charge of Russia now(Putin) came from the KGB, which was the new name for the sinister NKVD, OGPU, CHEKA. Khruschiev, just renamed his secret police, but really he was part of that killing machine from 1930-53.

I used to call him "the Poodle-Headed Teletubby" but seriously, his demise, however it occurred, could cause big stress over there. I have read that China has dispatched troops to the borders to keep out defectors.
