Collectors travelling to the Pacific Islands may be interested in some preparatory reading. As mentioned above, John Tennent has done a lot of work in this area and has a book published called "Butterflies of the Solomon Islands". He has also recently been to Milne Bay Province and another book may already be availiable , "Butterflies of Milne Bay Province"

John is currently in the Louisiade Archipelago continuing his studies, and will be there until April.

Well, my usual collecting spots of course... Fraser's Hill and Cameron Highlands. I'm also constantly on the lookout for new collecting spots. There's a few at mind, but I'll have to give them a try first...

I'm going to collect in Ft. Campbell and environs, but I am planning on going to California in early summer and if possible, hit Arizona for some goodies.

They are in the alpine regions in Spain and france. Their larvae feed on pines.

Hi Steve,
I live 25 km far away from Santiago, and although end of June might be a little troublesome for me in terms of time (exams at University that I must pass!) it would be great to meet with you. As Miguel says, there´s no Graellsia isabelae here (and it will not appear in the future as our Pinus sylvestris trees were all cutted long time ago, and then very few were reforested, so any G. isabellae population that might have existed went extinct for sure). Nevertheless we have other species flying in late June that you must enjoy... PM me if you want to talk about it...
