Alejandro < French Guiana is safe in the beaten tracks. Yes there are some illegal golddigers and wood cutters in French Guiana outside the beaten tracks. You can go there alone if you KNOW French Guiana, not if you don't. At least, that is the advice of 2 French collectors of this forum.
About Afghanistan/Pakistan, most of my friends go there with local guides/drivers.

Hi all,
I really appreciated all of you advices! I made up my mind, next to the fact that I could be there only for a very short time+it is not really the right time to collect. I think it would be more usefull for me if I would go there primarily to collect for a longer time in the right period to have even more fun. Maybe a nice idea to go next year! You anyway made me very excited.
Thank you very much again!

Not included : beverages, liquors, fuel, local communities fees, Lima airport departure tax, meals in Lima, hotel in Lima. I usually charge more, however I appreciate very much the link in your web, and I would like you travel with us, We have not had any french in our trips, and your comments will be very important for french people. Satipo area is very good for Morpho cacicas, and best time is late May early June, and November. From June to October there are other species but not Morphos.
