can anyone ID me this lucanidae from central vietnam please. i have three approx all 57mm. I think it's some kind of hexarthrius but cannot find any match. thanks pete Attachments:

Yumikoi makii Arnaud et Miyaa, 2006, 72mm is the max size.

Prosopocoilus caprecornus I've also found this sp in Guangdong and Guangxi in China.
Vietnam is a very interesting areas for Lucanidae, there're more new sp being bescribed in Vietnam than any other country in Asia for the past 10 years.

I would never have been able to find the names of these beetles, i have been looking through loads of reference books but couldn't find them. I have loads of cerambycidae, cetonidae etc here along with lucanidae. once again, thanx Attachments:

Yes, you're right. Lucanus luci 67mm max size so far, maybe bigger?

could be Prosopocoilus crenulidens or P. katsuri. Is it from Ha Giang? Both are very similar.
