Hey everyone. I've been obsessed with this bug outside my house for about two weeks now. I can always spot it sitting on one of the top leaves of my bougainvillea. The past couple days have been different though, I couldn't find it where it normally is or anywhere on the plant. I thought it had finally moved on, until tonight. I just saw it again and it looks like it has matured, because it looks a little bigger, its legs look a little thicker, and instead of being a light powder blue, it's an ugly grey. I've attached a picture I took over a week ago. I just can't find out what this insect is! Please help Attachments:

Looks like an immature asassin bug or shield bug. Order Hemiptetra.

I think it is the nymph of a wheel bug. It is a type of assassin bug that can grow to be over an inch long.

hmmm...so it's still not a well known, or common insect? Someone from work who used to live in NY said it's called a Pine beetle, or at least that's what they call them. When I google pine beetle the pictures do not match mine at all. Still interesting.

That's exactly what it is though! Thank you. It's a wheel bug nymph. Neat insect!
