good evening to all. Grafvalent, your meridionalis series are very fantastic (....and fantastic photo also...). about me i'd just buy a confluenta male of nominal form. what do you think about it? the exemplar must be very interesting. i don't know what i must do to public the photo, so for the photo look www.birdwing-butterflies.com

Speaking of the IFTA...I have tried to find more info about the folding of the organization and the reason Michael Hudson left. Something about tribal fighting and a gold rush. Does anyone know the entire story or know where I can read more about this ? Is PNG really that dangerous of a place, or is just legend following the killing of Hudson's partner ?

If this pair was from Yahukimo they would be the western subspecies tarunggarensis. However, the males from that locality that I have seen, have had a darker green iridescence, so perhaps these are a pair of nominate O. meridionalis? Just saw the thread in the quote. This pair shown above reportedly is from Yahukimo. So can anyone confirm that this is O. tarunggarensis, and NOT O. meridionalis, from the photo ? The seller called in "confluenta". Is that a valid "form" ? Thanks, Michael

I think it is a valid form, not rare in this species.
