This looks to be a very exciting read ' Notebooks from New Guinea : Reflections on the life, nature, and Science from the depths of the New Guinea rainforest [Paperback 2011] by the Czech Scientist Novotny Vojtech. Novotny, a world renown biologist/entomologist has been the director of the Binatang Research Center in Madang, Papua for the last ten years. This book has had some excellent reviews, with Edward O. Wilson a eminent biologist and researcher saying " one of the most amazing books I have ever read, it is full of fascinating stories " Another reviewer mentioned that " it was the best book on Papua that I have ever read " Not only is this book about exciting insect research in the New Guinea jungles but the very real dangers of working in Papua. The Binatang Research Station has even been attacked twice.
I know I am going to enjoy reading this.
