thats right Adam, its like anything else, plenty of practice, adherence to correct methods and as soon as you spot where you are going wrong it is quite easy to correct. One thing I would say to anybody starting out in this hobby, dont set anything remotely rare or expensive until you are proficient in setting,it will most likely end in tears and a waste of money, buy them already mounted or get somebody else to do it. Also leave enough time for the specimen to dry out properly before removing it from the board, especially the more robust butterflies, agrias, charaxes prepona etc, as these are sure to lift when taken off the board too soon and you will have to relax them and do them again. Finally store your insects at the correct room temperature to prevent mould and lifting on a mass scale, I speak of this through painful personal experience as I once stored over 1500 specimens in a garage inbetween a house move about 15 years ago, the net result mass lifting of wings and ALL ad to be remounted, suffice to say a few expletives were flying about for the next few month.
