Several Saint-Saturnin in France !!! (in different parts of the country) Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt ? Butterfly : Anthocharis belia euphenoides Staudinger, 1869, female Popular name : l'Aurore de Provence. Because this butterfly inhabits Provence, I suppose that it's from Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt ; could be also from Saint-Saturnin-les-Avignon !!!

Not far from Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt, a biotop (Plateau de Coupon) where A. belia euphenoides is rather common in April-May. Learn more about the area : www.lepido-france.fr/2011/12/les-hautes-courennes/And, if you like to sojurn in the area (great entomological spots), stay in the Linda's cottages (Linda is from San Francisco, Ca), les Hautes-Courennes : gitesdeshautescourennes.com/index.htmA marvellous (and not expensive) place to discover the Luberon and Provence. Many butterflies there !!! Many butterflies inside the property !! Les Hautes-Courennes : the best place I know in France to observe and photography both Zerynthia polyxena & Z. rumina (protected species). Attachments:

"with analogy collecting data" What do you mean : Saint-Saturnin given as collecting data for A. damone ? According the Tolman & Lewington's Papillons d'Europe et d'Afrique du Nord, Anthocharis damone Boisduval, 1836 don't fly in France but in Sicilia (common name : Aurore de Sicile), in Macedonia, Greece and Turkey. My main goal is to find the Polyommatus "polonus" hybrid, but it's true that Delias provencialis would be a nice discovery !

You cannot imagine how many times I have put this journal in the basket on that website and then decided that I would be too short on money and buy it in a few months (I always put all the journals about Lycaenidae in the basket at once which is something like 280€ when I remember correctly)

They give collecting spots in France to find polonus. It worth the 12 euros. Interestingly, polonus doesn't appear where both coridon and bellargus are numerous (like in Fontainebleau) but in spots where one of the two species is not so common (like in some place of Provence). In good spots, they have caught 3 polonus in the same day !
