That species is indeed a real stunner !
I love those species with the sunset/sunrise colors of reddish orange, yellow, and black.
Other similar stunners are Delias bagoe, salvini, and maybe alberti tetamba.
Lovely specimen...

Thank you Adam indeed, it should have said yellow but, things like that happen when you use the voice recording on your phone...

Olivier, could you please post upper side of this specimen. Sure, here is the upperside. Beautiful too, but not as stunning as the red sunrise of its underside ! Delias eximia is really one of the most impressive butterflies on Earth.  |

Olivier, lovely upper side on that species as well.
Have you ever achieved any specimens of Delias caliban satisbona (Goodenough Is.)
or Delias mayrfoferi (New Britain) ?
Those two are really stunning as well in their attire.
Nomad, has shown a couple of very fine examples of these on the other forum.

Some other very rare Delias from my collection: Delias messalina messalina (male) from Bougainville :  Delias messalina gerrittsi (male) from the Schleinitz Mountains in New Ireland :  Delias messalina is a wonderful species with several ssp, all rare in collections (especially ssp messalina and lizzae) |
