I would write a mail to Vadim Tshikolovets, he tries to write a book about the butterflies of that country. I guss that most of these subspecies are in the museum of Karlsruhe but I don't have any time to check the collection there now.

Hi Jonathan, I hope the website is going well. I have contacted my friend Payam in Tehran about Pseudochazara in Afghanistan. He is currently undertaking a taxonomic revision of the butterflies of Afghanistan, which will be published in a series of papers. He is currently working on the Papilionidae and Pieridae and is still a long way from the " Satyridae " but may have some papers on this subject and if he sends any, I will pass them on to you. He also mentions that a revision of the " Pseudochazara " of Afghanistan is seriously needed, especially in Subspecific rank. He currently has this provisional list according to Sakai [ 1981 ]
Pseudochazara
baldiva balucha Evans 1932.
droshica badachshanta Wyatt & Ormoto 1966.
droshica porphyritica Clench & Shoumatoff 1956.
droshica atambegi Wyatt & Omoto 1966.
lehana wahilkhani Wyatt & Omoto 1966.
lehana dargaga Wyatt & Omoto 1966.
lehana watsoni Clench & Shoumatoff 1956.
lehana sagina Ruhl 1894.
lehana panjshira Wyatt & Omoto 1966
telephassa telephassa hubner 1827.
I hope this is of some help. Peter.

Hi Peter, Thanks for the detailed info . Definitely the Pseudochazara of Afghanistan require a complete revamp. Please feel free to provide my info and a link to my website: www.satyrinae.yolasite.com/ to your friend just in case he needs to make reference to it. Jonathan
