last him mail: "If you try to take my insects without pay, I'll show you. I assure you that, if you do not pay my insects get a lot of problems in Africa and you will never receive more insects in Africa. We continue to take your money for nothing. I keep your message. Send my name in every site you know, I have people who know that I am very honnette. I customers for 9 years and they know I'm serious. But there there's one thing I tell you, do everything you can do, but do not steal my insects. Two white wanted to steal my insects and they died. If you also do not pay my insects you see. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 12 Oct 2013 10:20:30 +0200
This is his last delirious email. I've had some people give me partial positive results on this man. so I tried to make an order with him, but he wanted to at least 100,00 Euro in advance. He sent me a certificate for the material, the number of the package, photo with paper with my name So I sent the 100 Euro. Too bad that now, after careful research post Italian and French the parcel with this track number was sent months before to a person in France.
For me, this person is a scammer for all purposes (other than a madman: read the email threats).
If someone else has been conned by Lucien, let me know. thanks
By the way, for all those who continue to have business with him, it would be a nice gesture of solidarity to stop the purchase of materials with this crook. andrea

Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedLucien Mballa Mbida --Fabrice Amougou from Yaoundé, Cameroon, --E-mail: dindan_2@hotmail.fr-- My current experience with this person. Here is the text from my E-mail: 2 transactions, the results were both the same - garbage material see attached pdf illustrating some of the specimens received. My experience with thuis supplier is the same as everyone else that has delt with him. On both occassions I refused to pay up front, a very wise position to take with this individual. Here is the text of my E-mail to him after receiving this material: Lucien, I have received the package of Eudocima specimens you sent to me. You see below my previous (E-mail) statement to you “they must be unbroken specimens”. In your E-mail, you sent me a picture of a female Eudocima materna and you offered me 100 of these. You stated you would be sending me 100 of these. I reluctantly agreed to buy them. There was no discussion concerning Eudocima divitiosa, but that is the species you sent. What I received from you is that one female E. materna which was broken and also the following: 63 specimens of Eudocima divitiosa which were garbage, these specimens were either chipped, severely broken, severely worn, and quite a number had abdomens covered in mold or fungus or both mold and fungus. Some had their abdomens eaten by psocids, and some were eaten by ants. The remainder if the specimens you sent were assorted small mostly noctuids specimens, none of which are Eudocima. What I am left with is a total of 26 specimens of Eudocima divitiosa acceptable quality –Good. But this extremely common pest species was not what you stated you were sending nor what I agreed to purchase from you. I wasted nearly 6 hours of my time going through this awful moldy pest eaten material and taking photographs of the defective specimens. See the attached pdf illustrating the trash you sent to me. Why would you send me such awful material again ? Do not send me any more specimens. Previously I paid you the agreed amount even though your specimens were mostly trash quality. I will pay you $26.00 for the current good 26 specimens to end this. I do not want any more material from you, as you need to greatly improve you methods. If you want, I can return the package and its entire contents to you. Postage out of the US is very expensive Send me $50.00 and I will send it back. So do you want the $26.00 ?

In my humble opinion, it is better to go up on the market: direct contact with the seller, immediate verification of the goods, etc.. No problem! Moreover, if we compare the price of a ticket to Cameroon and that some users of this forum pay for the purchase of insects, it is almost obvious that the same will save money by buying on the spot! And, last but not least, it provides an escape from the daily routine, to get away from his stepmother and his tax collector ... I went to the Paypal website and found that there are in this payment system. Send Leps advance with no pre-payment he otkazalsya got no money, I got butterflies. Happy ending.

Over, and over the same reports keep coming up about African suppliers taking our money and sending nothing. I quit sending advance payments to Africa years ago after learning the hard way. Thankfully there are honest distributors in other countries who are able to supply Goliathus, etc. It costs a little more but well worth it.

... Who are these honest suppliers ?? There are plenty of honest Goliathus suppliers on eBay, see here : www.collector-secret.com/insect/coleoptera/goliathus/Dealing directly with locals may appear "cheaper" but most of the time you won't receive anything and lose your money. The few honest local suppliers deal with big insect sellers who buy all their stock, not with private collectors.
