Ah, Bing Ming, well known eBay seller of rare Chinese butterflies. I heard she works for customs, which is how she can send specimens out.
I'm not actually looking to buy one (I already have 2 males caught by a friend, with precise collecting data), but was curious about the price since they were selling on eBay for US$ 800-1200 a couple of years ago.
Adam.

Slightly more expensive than mine but still a good price. I don't see this one flooding the market like t imperialis and b mansfieldi/thaidina.

I have collected them myself near Qamdo in Eastern Tibet. Some chinese Dealers know this and give you that locality, but I am quite sure that they have not found them there since I explained to one chinese collector where to search for them and he did not find them. One place is also about 60 km North of the town Zhongdian(N-Yunnan)on the road to Tibet( a small river crossed the main road, this place I got from italian collectors ,they got only 1 male there couple of years ago) I have bought 2 years ago also some from Tibet.....but later I got from my supplier the correct place: Batang(Sichuan)thats a place Close to the tibetan Border and should be correct since a german Museum has a old series from there I guess that most on the market come from Batang Robert
