One of the problems I have found with Vietnamese dealers is that they sometimes include Cites specimens (usually A2) in mixed lots of Lepidoptera Cites inspectors here can be a bit difficult, so I try not to get on their wrong side.

I take it your referring to NZ customs? Yup they are a difficult bunch alright, not so much problems have I had for cites species, just a pain for their fees incurred with parcels of mine being opened, and their random choices of treatment for parcels.

I have traded with Thanh for over 2 years now and have always found him trustworthy and reliable. Others have noted that he is new to the insect classification (but learning fast with new species!) and his ongoing asking prices are simply market driven by what was paid previously. He is not the only Vietnamese seller to use that approach, and it is interesting to watch prices fall as items are either not sold, or ongoing supply through a season exhausts buyers' needs.
