Tiger beetles are very quick and hard to catch. I know somebody who sprays them with a can of insecticide to slow them down.

Just went to the spot I caught the others and got another Sexguttata and also missed one. I also got my first Euphoria inda.

Well this summer I got 3 Bronzed tiger beetles (Cicindela repanda) and several C. sexgutatta.

I caught some new species for me as well this summer. They are as follows:
Wisconsin: Cicindela limbalis C. longilabris
Alabama: Cicindela abdominalis
Wyoming: Cicindela haemorrhagica
Arizona (Willcox area): Cicindela pulchra dorothea C. pimeriana C. sedecimpunctata C. ocellata C. nigrocoerulea C. punctulata chihuahuae C. willistoni sulfontis C. hornii Ellipsoptera marutha Cylindera lemniscata C. viridisticta Eunota (formerly Habroscelimorpha) fulgoris erronea
Arizona (Chiracahua Mountains): Cicindela melissa
