Me too......glad I got them when I did. One was even a gift from my wife from 2006 I think. Getting stuff from there now is indeed tough.

Some nice drawers on this thread, but could do with some more from you other collectors, come on guys ( and gals) get the cameras out. Here's my collection of cymothoe, photo quality isn't great I know, transferred them from my tablet. Other African nymphalidae will follow Rich

Any second opinions?
My ID is based on the use of Bill O.'s site and Saturniidae World site in Germany. Maybe I'm missing something africaone.......please specify the reasons for your ID conclusion ....... for my benefit.

Any second opinions? My ID is based on the use of Bill O.'s site and Saturniidae World site in Germany. Maybe I'm missing something africaone.......please specify the reasons for your ID conclusion ....... for my benefit. see my comment on Bill's site. imperator is more rounded (not falcate), bigger, more gold yellow (despite some specimen have Brown-red scales), with marginal FW space broader. position of lines are also not similar. of course also genitalia, barcode and first instars differs. imperator is restricted to central Africa (not found in occidental Africa). discrepans has an edible Caterpillar. and 35 years practice in African sat.

As promised, a few more African nymphalidae.. Again apologies for picture quality, I am cataloging my collection on a small tablet, photos look great on there, but not so good when put onto a larger screen. Rich

And my Hypolimnas, African and Asian.. Only recent (18 months) acquisitions, mainly through buying large boxes of mixed specimens, at some point I'll look at adding a few of the rarer species. Rich
