Pokin' around in the grass

This summer was full of memorable encounters, but one stood out. While on a camping trip, I decided to go for a little stroll with camera in hand. After crossing a small stream, there was a plateau covered in dense grass and I started looking for some insect species. There were quite a few, but one little skipper was overly friendly. I was able to have him sit on my hand for a long time and he would fly off for awhile then come back. When picture time came, I'm pretty sure the lens hit his antennae a few times. One of the many reasons I love skippers so much
