I had no Idea you liked those too Sorry, I just couldn't resist that joke. I actually did know, or at least guessed since you asked me about Idea agamarschana in Burma. Adam.

This is a stunning collection. I saw them in Java. It is always nice to see them flying around. Usually, they fly as a pair together.

Wollastoni, i'm very sorry to be not able to help You: I wos concentrated on Idea agamarshana wich is described to fly near mangroves ( where I met it in Andaman islands), so I visited only "wet" places, near the sea , rivers and lakes : Mrauk U in the north, Ngwe Saung and Yangon, Lake Inle, Mien Ma Hla Kyun in the Ierravady delta and Tavoy ( Dawei) in the south and always I met few species with not many specimens. But my both trips were in the dry season, so my experience was very limited to give an exact idea about the real situation in that country. Great country , fantastic people but unsuccessful for my IDEA. alberto

Just a question of curiosity. Did you collect all of those specimens?

Marvelous Idea collection. Most comprehensive collection I've seen of these.... Very nice specimens. Always liked the white/black color theme on these butterflies ! Some of those specimens of Idea stolli aleine from Sabah Borneo (females I believe) must have wingspans of 8 inches or so. A very nice group to focus on indeed!
