Good morning! I am a hobbyist, interested in raising moths, especially giant silk moths. I am an artist, so after my moth babies have expired, I cast their bodies into glass and wax. I am completely fascinated by these beautiful creatures!

Please post photos of your "weird looking insect" in the Bug identification section of the forum, and importantly please tell us where in the world you found it. To post photos please see my post (4th down) explaining how to do it in the thread here: insectnet.proboards.com/thread/4692/picture-attachment. Adam.

Welcome Achmad, Back in July 1979 I spent 2 weeks at Padang Panjang and visited Anai and Harau. I guess things have changed a lot since then Adam.

Ahmad,
I would like to go there, but I cannot travel as I need to look after my young son. Maybe one day in future, as it would be interesting to see how Sumatera Barat has changed since 1979.
Adam.

Hi there. One of my hobbies is photography. Particularly wildlife. Ive just got into macro photography so no doubt will find this forum useful for learning about my subjects as at present I know very little about insects despite being fascinated by the.

I'm thirteen and insects have been a lifelong passion of mine. I live in Australia, so there is a lot to be discovered!

You are a new member here, please tell us more about you and your insect passion. Hello, I'm Robert. I got interested in insects as a 4-year-old in Hong Kong, where the sky was sometimes full of Pantala flavescens. I did a masters degree on New Zealand crickets. Now I teach English in Japan and while I love all arthropods, I'm most interested in butterflies.

Hi, I’m Bunny, I’m from Scotland. I just really love bugs! I love worms, bees, butterflies and anything else I find in my garden. I also have an interest in arachnids that weave strange webs. My favourite is the trapdoor spider. Another interest is parasites, despite being afraid of them! I may not often me on the forum but I’ll try and share pictures when I get them. I’m also an artist so I may sometimes show that.
