You are a new member here, please tell us more about you and your insect passion. Hi, I have worked as a crop consultant across the south half of Kansas for the last 32 years. I love finding new insects, and learning all about them.

Hi my name is Cherie, I’m a music teacher, live on a farm just outside Canberra and have just dived into the world of butterflies after acquiring a beautiful 72 butterfly scientific specimens. I posted on a forum but will share here as well . We have a collection of 72 Australian Butterflies and I posted a pic online to find out more about these butterflies. We have had some amazing phone calls from people telling us we have a very rare 1 of a kind MALE/Female potentially extinct Australian butterfly in our collection last live sighting in 2001 and our specimen which has been perfectly preserved as a scientific collection from the 70’s and 80’s I have spoken to the head of the government team in charge of trying to find this species of butterfly and avid butterfly lovers, who have said this could be a fabulous 1 of a kind never seen before museum piece. I would love to show you all a pic and get some advice as to what potentially wpuld be its value as so far people have said it’s priceless. This collection is also something I love to pass onto my children and so forth so if I was to share with a museum how would that work. Happy to send pics I can’t see how to post a pic here ?? I’m located near canberra in Australia my number is 0411686438 happy to chat here or on the phone Thankyou

Hello everyone, I'm not an insect fan or expert but my daughter can spot a spider at 30 meters distance and my mother just found a pretty amazing insect in her garden. I thought I should ask you if you can identify it. Hope you will!

Hi! We are a team working for the Eastern Oregon Agriculture Research Center composed by biologist of all levels with different focuses such as plants, landscape, wildlife, etc. However, none of us have studied entomology. Welcome! Call me biased, but without insects there are no plants, wildlife, etc., so insects are the top thing to study! We have a wide range of experience and knowledge on this forum, so feel free to ask any questions. Chuck

My main focus is i come across all sorts of insects around my neighborhood and sometimes in my house and get interested in what they are and why theyre here (if theyre in my house) and whether theyre safe.
