Hi, I'm json, 26M from tx, US. I've been interested in lepidoptera since I was 12, especially lycaeniids and skippers. Occasionally I have gone moth'ing in the past. Really excited to meet some cool people here!

Hey everyone! I'm Jesse, currently based in Estes Park, CO. I've bounced around the US a lot during my career as a ranger with the National Park Service (Don't worry, I'm not here to report anyone who collects in the National Parks . My main passion is butterflies, and would LOVE to meet up with anyone in Colorado who wants to do some collecting! This is an old post, but I'll be in CO next week if you're interested

I am probably different from most of the members here as I actually do not care for insects...I actually am a little afraid of them BUT...am trying to channel that by finding things, trying to identify them, and moving them to a habitat where they can live....away from me, LOL. Hopefully joining this forum will help.

Hello, my name is Mida and lately I've been disinterested in smashing insects. Harsh way to start off but it's the truth! For about a year now I have been capturing, identifying and releasing. Hoping to gain more info on my captures and of course they're only being captured if they're inside.

I live in the UK, this summer I started rearing butterflies and moths. It was supposed to be a one time thing done with my toddler, but I caught a bug 🐛 🤣 I have UK native species, apart from Robin cecropia moth, presented to me on my birthday by my boyfriend

Hi all,
My name is Bethany and I live in Arizona, USA. I am passionate about insects, but have only started collecting specimens within the last two years. I only pin insects that I find already dead (just a personal choice, I won't judge those that choose to kill their specimens.) I'm mostly interested in beetles, but I suck at scientific names. I'm hoping to learn a lot from you all!

Hello there, I confess to begin with that my interest in insects is principally just part of my interest in flora and fauna generally. However, recently I have become fascinated by the behaviour of the Death's Head Hawk Moth and its larvae, and leaves me with a series of questions which I'm hoping can be answered here. Is there a section here which would be appropriate if I start a thread on it? Thanks you in advance
