Hi all, I’ve been fascinated by stick insects since we had some Indian ones at school when I was a kid. I took some home and had them for a couple of years. I had some more Indian ones about a decade ago for a few years. This time around I got interested in other types as well. I now have (forgive me for the spotty correct naming, I’m still learning) Indian, Black Beauty, Sungaya, Areton, Guerini, trachyaretaon Bruckneri, trachyaretaon sp “north Luzon”, Vietnamese, lobofemora scheirei, and Orestes mouhotii. I also have some eggs incubating of achrioptera manga, giant prickly, and some eurycantha calcarata on the way. I MAY have gone a bit overboard... 😂

Hello to All! My name is Jack and I've been collecting butterflies for about 4, maybe 5, years now. I love seeing all the different varieties and types, though it can be a little overwhelming at some times I love reading through all the different posts and I'm a big fan of Ornithoptera, Parides, and Morpho butterflies. I can't wait to see and read all the knowledge each one of you has! -Jasm

You are a new member here, please tell us more about you and your insect passion. Hello to all. I go by "Sippyjug" and I am a retired mechanical system designer and my passion is insect macro and micro photography. I stage focus stacking sessions nearly daily in my basement studio and I enjoy being in the field among the thickets and wildflowers scouting for insects to photograph in their natural environment.
