Hello My old account was "777", but I forgot my old email and password so i've started a new account. My name's Ethan. I started casually collecting some beetles when I was 16, 4 years later I am now collecting almost any species of animal I can find. My passion for nature has inspired me so now I have recently become a taxidermist. I haven't been collecting insects as much for a while because a lot of my bugs had been destroyed by ants that came into my house one day. Not even dried bugs are spared by ants! I've gotten some Cornell drawers to protect my collection now and I feel motivated to collect insects again. Welcome back. You can retrieve your 777 account easily by clicking on "I forgot my password". If you have also forgotten your email, I can send it to you by PM on this new account.

I tried clicking "I forgot my password" and an error message kept popping up. This might be a problem caused by the change to the new URL. I had a problem logging in the first time too, a couple of days ago, the log-in page sent an error message when I clicked the log-in button despite my putting in the correct username and password. I seem to remember that after several tries it sent me to a page to choose to log in as me or as 'guest', perhaps after I hit the back button, or maybe refreshed the page. Sorry, I don't remember exactly what I did. Adam.

No. When you click on "I forgot my password", you go to Proboards website : logins.proboards.com/forgot/3252452You are not on the old or new Insectnet forum url. I just tried and it works fine

You are a new member here, please tell us more about you and your insect passion. Just joined this Group. I am a Medical Entomologist by training and profession. My Masters was on the Neotropical blowflies. Joining this group to learn more about where to purchase some tropical insects for resale through my small business. Read a member post about Atelier Insecta. Anyone have their contact info?? Thanks, Donald

Hello everyone! My name is Hayl, and I'm currently finishing up a bachelors in ecology with hopes of studying/working more with insects afterwards. I found my love for insects pretty late into the game, so apologies if my knowledge/experience is lacking compared to others here. I'm a bit of a lurker on forums, but I'm hoping to get out of my shell, and I look forward to interacting with y'all!

Welcome to the forum !
That is indeed a curious Avatar name because they're actually is a small family of Hemiptera which are commonly called toad bugs. Their family (Gelastocoridae) has around 100 known species of which 85 are from the Old world and the other 15 from the New world.
There are probably more to yet be discovered (almost certainly) and they are curious little fellows for their hopping habit and warty appearance.
Feel free to participate anytime something peaks your interest.
