Hello, I have raised mostly Dynastes hercules and Megasoma elephas while living in Japan. I have since stopped breeding, but have a lot of supplies that I need to pass on to someone.
Thanks!

Hello everybody I used to breed butterflies and moths especially Acherontia Atropos that beautiful animal. Unfortunately my wife didn't enjoy my hobby... she felt disgusting the Acherontia worms (which are actually beautiful) and she felt pity for the adult moths that for some time I kept in net cages. Actually I used to release them in nature. Here in Northern Italy they are local insects, and the global warming made them more and more common in the North of this country (their perfect habitat used to be Sicily in the South). I especially enjoyed feeding them that's very nice, and also they are surprisingly strong and intelligent animals, they always search a way to escape from the cages and sometimes they succeed. Anyway, I don't want to upset my happy home, so now I just enjoy watching insects in nature I noticed there is plenty of useful information here

Hello Members. I am as a new member, Per from Denmark. I have been interested in and collected lepidoptera since 1974. Mostly my collection consists by national danish species, both macro- and micro-lepidoptera. I am specially active with driving light-traps in the night-time for moth-collection. Beside this I´m also interested in world- and tropical lepidoptera. Especially a passion for birdwing-butterflies, where I have bought different species and subspecies through ebay with the approved cites-import-permissions. I do also follow the interesting discussions here, about valid or not valid species, subspecies and so on. Kind Regards, Per.

Hey! I am a newbie to this! Totally fascinated by insects and have been for years. With a background in plant science and as an avid birder, I have a keen appreciation of the insect world and their importance as pollinators, food sources, plus beauty and design.
My particular interests (for now) are pretty broad. Love the Phasmids, Coleoptera, Odonata and especially the Saturniidae!

You are a new member here, please tell us more about you and your insect passion. My passion is micro and macro photography with insects as my favorite subjects. I search for insects everyday that weather permits and I photograph insects in the field in their natural environments and in my studio for highly magnified images of staged subjects using focus stacking techniques. I am interested in learning as much as I can about the fascinating miniature world that surrounds me.
