Hello Adam I just spread those two specimens collected at Punjen Hideaway Resort in Wang Chin, Thailand. Do they look familiar? It would be interesting to hear more about this species and the story how the sphingid moth is bearing the name of one of the best Papilionidae specialist. Paul

Long story, Paul, but basically I was heavily involved in the research that led to the 2nd volume of Moths of Thailand back in the 1980s.
There was a subspecies of Clanis phalaris from Chiang Mai named after me in 2004 too, and for some obscure reason a ssp. of Macroglossum faro from Sulawesi was also named after me. I had absolutely nothing to do with finding that moth, but Jean-Marie Cadiou named it after me.
Adam.
