It's going to take a lot of spiders to produce one cow worth.
It is interesting, though not totally unique. Aphids produce liquid to feed ants. From an evolutionary and survival perspective, it makes sense that an adult produces food for the offspring.

I remember they inserted the silk protein gene into goats and the result was goats which produced milk composed of a few %of silk protein.

Is there any benefit of this to consuming milk with added spider silk protein ? I highly doubt it.

The milk will have a different amino acid combination. Proteins have 20 amino acids as building blocks and you need each one of them in different quantities. No food is giving you all 20 at the same time, so you need to diversify your diet.
