I wanted to come and agree that it is pretty weird to be seeing green leaves in the middle/end of November, but it seems as though I'm too late since Chuck is gone. There are lots of reports of storms carrying things long distances (I don't know about 1000 km), but maybe there were closer areas that just had a few trees with leaves. I've seen times where trees a mile apart could have 3 weeks difference in when the leaves fall. Very intriguing.
As someone who came to the party late and didn't see the original redacted messages, I'm really intrigued as to what horrifying thing Jan could have posted that would make Chuck swear off Insectnet "forever"? (I suspect that this departure will be like many other folks' - Back to posting within a month)

Let's hope Chuck will come back indeed. Agreed. Thanks for the work you do. I most definitely value chucks presence, the leadership he takes and the way he supports others in the hobby. Hopefully I will still get to enjoy his posts but if not I will at least be able to enjoy our brief swap box emails.

We need his glaucus, canadensis, mts reports 😉. I look forward to next season to research these three more.
