I found another of the caterpillars today, but now, I'm really starting to suspect that they're actually skippers, rather than A. andria (although, I haven't been able to find any reference to Croton spp. being a host plant for any species of Hesperiidae). I should know for certain, before very long.

The two caterpillars I found look almost exactly like this one, of Erynnis martialis - So, rather than A. andria as I'd hoped, it seems that what I have are actually Erynnis spp.

The butterflies emerged, and as I suspected, they were Erynnis; specifically, Erynnis funeralis -
