Thank you very much Adam for sharing this. I took the time to look through all of this. I see that the study was expanded and it looks like Aristolochia appeared at the same place at the same time than ancestral Papilionidae. This happened in Beringia (connection North America/ Palearctic) in the Northern hemisphere. This would then refute and make impossible my ideas.
Despite probably not having an effect in Papilionidae, I still wonder what the move of India meant for insect evolution. When I am not mistaken the separation of India lead to the origins and evolution of pheasants and chickens, some of our most important avian live stock.
