My mother and I went in our backyard garden and looked at her mum plant and to our surprise we had a single lady bug sitting on it, then when we looked closer we saw clusters and clusters of what My mom thinks are lady bug pupa, but I don't think it's possible, because there are probably hundreds of them all over on almost every branch, so unless we have a nest of lady bugs hiding in the plant I don't see how this is possible Here is a picture, and if you zoom in on it you can see them better. Anyone have any ideas?

No, these are Aphids. They are a bug that sucks the sap from plants and can cause serious damage, I would suggest a pesticide spray before they multiply into thousands! Alternatively you can spray them with soapy water (water plus a few drops of washing up liquid) The Ladybug sitting on them was there because Aphids are Ladybugs favourite food. Make sure you remove any Ladybugs before you spray! Dave

looked it up and I believe they are brown citrus aphids, we also have a grapefruit tree so I'm gonna tell her we need to check the tree. sprayed soapy water and they dropped off as soon as it touched them. Unfortunately we moved ladybug to my baby plant, and she flew away! =/
thank you for the help Dave (:
