Ah, is that the name of the band, I thought it was the name of the place. Sorry for my ignorance. I wasn't much into music as a kid, except The Beatles and later Queen (I got into them after Bohemian Rhapsody). I got a bit more into what some people may not call music when I was at IC 1977-80, that was the punk era. Realising the April Fool after jshuey's comment (we don't have April Fool here, so it's not really in my mind) I played the video, but didn't know what it was about. The screen says "Chicago - Does Anybody Really Know ..." and I couldn't really make out the lyrics. I assume the song was relevant to the April Fool joke. joachimI assume the poor photo editing was deliberate. Good joke, fooled me (insert embarrassed smiley). Adam.

I don't think it's a matter of being out of touch Adam, that song was released in 1969, and Chicago were one of the biggest bands through the 70s! Indeed, a US band playing grownup music in the late 60's and 70's. I don't think they were big outside the US. They were originally called "the Chicago Transit Authority" until the actual Chicago transit authority sued them..., and they were a regional fusion band - a great mix of jazz, blues, straight-ahead rock, with "occasional drug induced-crap" band. But they made it big, and were still touring until everything shut down recently. They were a large part of the sound-track of my high school years. They had one of the absolutely finest blues-inspired guitarists of the era - Terry Kath - who managed to unintentionally shoot himself while I was in college (only in America - right?). His performance below (3 minutes in) is just amazing and no-one will ever reproduce that crazy hyperkinetic thing he did. In many ways - they were the American counter-point to the glam bands coming out of the UK (think Bowie or Queen...). john

Some may take that as a jab at a politically hot topic. Kinda surprising coming from a new moderator. I respect you immensely as an entomologist, traveler, and adventurer. Thus, you of all people should recognize what could be perceived as instigation on communications banned here. I wonder if it had anything to do with the drugs? Drugs and cars, guns, airplanes, etc are a very bad mix, statistically. Anyway, it's cute that Adam does not recognize Chicago. Tell me Adam- please- tell me you know about BB King, John Lee Hooker, and Chuck Berry? On 5G: this has to be the stupidest conspiracy theory ever. 5G has a lower radiated field than past mobile (that's "cellular" to Americans) technologies, and it's the same frequency range used for 40 years. Now, I do have concern that the ionosphere blocks low frequency waves, and the atmosphere blocks higher frequency waves, pretty much a miracle. Yet we bombard ourselves with radio waves- constantly. AM, FM, LF, VHF, UHF, satellite, mobile (cellular), microwave, etc. I cannot help but wonder if all that radio activity constantly passing through our bodies isn't a problem. But 5G is no more a problem than anything else. Chuck

next year I'll bring a better joke when I have more time, here in Germany we like to make bad jokes too. And people believe a lot
I have just read that an egg-laying mammal was discovered in Australia. The eggs are colorful. But, I once saw such a troides with black dots, more than usual, at a stock exchange. All you need is a good felt-tip pen. When the gravitational waves were recently discovered, I told them that I was hit by one and that I am now sick. I have reaped a lot of compassion So, now is April 2nd and it's time for serious things again.

english; 9:06 p.m.: Unknown people made a bad joke with a fake vaccination call for all over 80-year-olds in the southern Spanish city of Seville. An alleged message from the health authority was distributed via various WhatsApp groups that all people over 80 years of age could be vaccinated against corona on Thursday without an appointment. In front of the vaccination center, a queue of around 4,000 people, including old people and their relatives, reported the newspaper »El País«

Bandrow you are not a punk rocker. Well you do look a bit like Jonny Rotten. Technically not a punk rocker, but definitely a metalhead - if that term is still in use!! In 8th grade, we had "bring your new record to class Fridays" and I took Black Sabbath's "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath" LP. The nun played about 3 songs and decided that was enough. Yes, I said nun - this was Catholic school and how she ever saw that cover and still played the music is beyond me. I guess the "devil made her do it..." Been into metal ever since - the older I get, the harder I like it. Or maybe, the deafer I get, the louder it has to be? Cheers! Bandrow P.S. - more than one person around the museum jokingly called Dr. Rawlins "Johnny Rotten" and he loved it. But I don't think he really ever knew the source of the reference!!

Anyway, it's cute that Adam does not recognize Chicago. Tell me Adam- please- tell me you know about BB King, John Lee Hooker, and Chuck Berry? Chuck I have vaguely heard of BB King, but of course I know about Chuck Berry and his music, however I must admit having no idea about John Lee Hooker. I have moved this thread here now that it's 2nd April so members can continue talking about other topics without issues, and people seeing the subject line later won't be confused. Adam.

But 5G is no more a problem than anything else. Chuck Some have felt paranoid and haunted by all things. I once worked for a cell phone company. Someone has complained that the radiation from the mast leads to sleep disorders, loss of appetite, and even the dog was sick. Strange, the mast was only under construction and not at all active.
We used to have amateur radio here in town, but due to the many routers, cell phones, etc. there is hardly any reception. And, everyone has a cell phone, several computers, television ...... police, fire brigade, everyone is radio. I think if their house was on fire and the fire brigade would say: Yes, we turned off the radio because it is harmful, we couldn't come that fast, hahaha. These rays do not interact, as you say, with matter. And exhaust fumes aren't healthy either. Joachim
