Nobody can remember... but it probably happened for a good and deemed valid reason š¤ (unless moderators lost their marbles?).

Leroy, the remainder of that post was edited for indecency reasons !
Which you have been warned about in the past.
With additional moderators on board we now have vigilance like never before. A steady hand is now on the "pulse" of the forum.
Your remark is not worthy of repeat...
However, if you feel discriminated against then forward any questions you may have to Adam as he is the Senior moderator and he is well aware of your remark.

Ah, but to stay on topic!
Anyone ever heard of Private Messages?

Indeed, I do believe very much in "staying the course" with topics.
I would have been happy to leave him a a private message however I'm not so certain he would have noticed; since he seems to have so easily overlooked his own indecent remark.
Back to topic and no more further need of this ridiculous discussion.

I have always loved the Pieris genus. It is often overlooked by collectors as some Pieris species are more than common (rapae, brassicae...). But some species are very hard to find and they are plenty of splendid species in Asia.
I remember catching some very nice Pieris species in the garden of my uncle in Tokyo when I was 12 years old.

Indeed, a drawer full of Pieris napi will show tremendous variation in markings and tints of yellow and green undersides and is quite a sight to behold.

Olivier, do you still have those japanese Pieris in your collection ? Any photos ?
I agree yorky, P. napi is indeed a splendid species in its own right !

Not perfect specimens as wild caught but it does show the underside variation.

Ok then, I'll bite. These are just a little bit special and some of the cream of my historic British collection, almost all were bred the great L W Newman, the yellow form of Pieris napi.

The last 2 are very special indeed, apart from being historic they are also abberations, namely continua and interjuncta.
