I finally got my Empire Toys Bug Keeper, it took a while, now I have it on a shelf, and it looks just like the ones I had as a kid, the "authentic plastic plant", 2 pretend bugs stuck on the leaves. Not old store stock, but acceptable. Now, there it'll sit, because really, it's virtually useless considering the equipment I have now, and for the 33 bucks- it won't be going into the field.
Other than that, and the melt-a-meggedon going on in Oregon, there's not a lot new, my livestock is just about finished up, and it'll be a nice break until I find something else.
They claim it'll be 80f on the coast- well, I'm skeptical, if it happens- nice, I'll set up the UV light for a few days and see what happens.

Fantastic find !
Happy you finally landed one as they are not easy to find these days.
I too have a certain sentimental attachment to some things that I once had during my youth.
Thanks, for the update on your search...

I credit the post about the toy here for reminding me. So many things we went through as kids, some, we remember easily, others, not so much. And eBay, if you can't find it there, it probably doesn't exist. Personally, I think old toys are great, sure, I could hang modern art and trendy objects on the shelves, but what's that going to mean to me? Not a lot.
