This one was given to me by a college professor back in the 90s. Someone brought it in to be identified and said that it emerged alive from the wooden case of a clock that was bought in China. We don't know how long he had the clock, or if the wood it was made from was indigenous to China. It could be a Chinese species, or from anyplace else.
It's about 2cm long excluding the antennae.

It is a male Stromatium (Hesperophanini). I think it is Stromatium longicorne(Newman,1842). It occurs in China(as well in Japan,Malaysia etc).
