Can anyone help with ID of this please photographed in Fulmar Bucks today - initially thought was a Damsel fly but it isn't I believe

Managed to establish that is the UK'S largest Ichneuman wasp apparently

I have a female Rhyssa persuasoria in my UK collection which I caught in Queen Bower, New Forest in June 1979... Mine has an ovipositor and sheath some 4 cms long... I presume yours is a male...
