I looked at a paused image and couldn’t see two sets of wings. I really didn’t think it was clear enough for Seek to identify it which is why I posted here, but I think it may have actually come through. I took five screenshots from the video and Seek identified three of them as the same thing, dusky-winged hoverfly. It does have the red head and the markings on the body actually look the same. It would also explain why it was hovering and I could actually get a shot. What do you think? bugguide.net/node/view/1702889 |
