A nice pair of a new species Colias delshade (Grieshuber, Karbalaye 2019) from Afghanistan. The country is not very collector friendly at the moment, so I guess it will be very hard t oget new stock in the future.

"Not very collector friendly" hahaha that made my day. But I assume there are still some of our hardcore Russian friends that might go in there collecting nevertheless.

A group of Czech collectors went there this year, got a few specimena and had to be evacuated by plane by a consul because Taliban seized the mountain passes..

Wars have an odd way of preserving some wildlife while destroying other.

At least the habitat isn't being bombed into a pulp, unlike in some wars during the 20th century.
