We have been waking up with bites, suspecting bed bugs. We set out some glue traps to try and catch the potential culprit. We caught this. Apologies for the bad quality but its the best I could do, even with a macro lens and DSLR... it is very small, perhaps about 1mm big. We reached out to a local pest control company and they said it was a flea but I would like to verify with a second opinion. I appreciate any help! I can add more details if needed. Location: Prince George, BC

That looks to me to be the species of tick - albeit a very young one.
It has four pairs of legs so it is not an insect.
These are commonly known as "seed ticks" due to their small size.
You likely brought in a number of them on some clothing from the out of doors. Since you say you have been bitten multiple times I would suggest you probably have a number of them in your bedding.
With these tiny fellows where you find one you will probably find others; as no one tends to pick up just "one of these" whilst afield.

Ohh yeah! It definitely looks more like a young tick than anything else. Thank you for your insight!

Pest control?? They sure know their stuff. It is clearly not a flea. I don't know about "seed ticks" but they can congregate on plants lying in wait for an unsuspecting mammal.
