Tiny black hard shell bugs in Michigan bedroom

I’ve noticed, especially this summer but for awhile now, that I have these tiny black hard shell bugs on my side of the bed.  Just one at a time, maybe every other day.  They aren’t anywhere else in the house.  There’s a register next to my side of the bed and this house is so dusty…it doesn’t matter how often I dust/vacuum or change the furnace filter, if I leave anything sit out, like my iPad, next to my side of the bed, it has a dust layer on it the next morning.  I recently bought an air filter for the room.

There’s no food storage up here.  Unfortunately, our carpeting is navy so if they’re on the floor, I can’t see them.  It doesn’t look like I’m allowed to upload pictures, I’m only allowed to give an url where a picture is located so I’ll try that. I just flicked one off and you can hear them hit the wall when I do that. I don’t even see them on walls or tables…just on my side of the bed, up by my pillows that are closest to the register.

Any ideas?
