Thanks. His communication was a little bit suspicious. Then his cheating adds should be blocked here.

A few years ago I had posted an ad with Goliath beetles for sale on a forum. He had copied my photo and since then it shows up on the internet from time to time. When he gets banned, he changes his name and email address. He has been in the scammer business for many years....

Some years ago a bunch of guys from UK and SA spent over a year duping a scammer from Nigeria. They finally got him to meet in an airport in Africa where they proceeded to beat the snot out of him. Oh if only I had endless time and money!

Thanks for the warning ribero, I have deleted his account and ads. About all African suppliers : just avoid them. The very few African sellers who are honest (1% of them) sell 100% of their good material to Western suppliers (you can find most here : insectnet.com/suppliers). They need private collectors only to destock their B- material or very common species. Working in direct with African sellers is a lost of time, money and can be risky too (badly custom declared materials and so on). Same with Solomons islands.

I recently had a guy from Uganda offering me live Papilio polyxenes- When it comes to buying exotic material, you're better off paying a bit more from a supplier in your own country who has taken the time, and risk to import the insects.
One of our more experienced and candid members recently posted something called "so you got ripped off by a foreign supplier" or something like that, it was very amusing and completely plausible, most likely because it rang true.
Pay the extra money, it'll be less stress. Certainly you can't get everything you want that way, and then maybe you might take a risk, but on the web, anyone can claim anything.

Greetings everyone.
Its true there are lots of scammers in Africa. You have every right to be suspicious of any new name from africa advertising insects.
But remember there are still a few good suppiers from Africa. You just need to be on alert. Make your enquiries first no matter how good the deal may look.
