I have been living here for years, I have pretty much seen all bugs native to my local area, however I have never seen this one before. I have done some research but dew to the limited amount of information I currently posses on the subject, I figure to put this picture out here in hopes of retrieving more information about the species. My research revealed "Buprestis novemmaculata gravida" as the possibility, but it seems unlikely to me that this is right, and wanted some secondary opinions on the matter. Location found: Greece, Athens Color: Black Length: 1.7cm or 0.67 inch Characteristics: The specimen observed was reminiscent of a black wasp or hornet. Specimen had two sort antenna originating from the middle of it's head. Specimen also had 3 visible pairs of legs, with a pair of wings, though not flight capability was observed. Specimen's abdomen seems to be tipped almost like it had a stinger.
Picture of Specimen (I apologies for the poor quality, unfortunately the specimen was too far and the use of zoom was necessary) : drive.google.com/file/d/1Wyiy3pz5uRYqnNKxDOfeN1c2OEAur2yd/view?usp=sharing

You need to set the photo for public access, otherwise only you can view it. I just get "access denied".

Yes, I did change it. I checked again, seems to have changed to private again for some reason, public, and says that anyone with the link can view the image, under permissions. If the "access denied" shows up again. I will try to find an alternative sharing application.

I can see the photo now. It seems to be a Diptera (fly) species, but I cannot say more than that. Probably someone familiar with southern European species can give a more accurate "guess" due to the poor image.
