Would anyone care to offer ID suggestions for these three MMF from a series of around 18 bred examples, no data labels. Apparently from around the 1980s?? Not even sure if Palaearctic or Holarctic? I was given them gratis a while ago but not sure if they can be confidently ID’d. flic.kr/p/2mEqmVtThanks!

probably Papilio zelicaon, although Papilio macheon oregonius looks very similar. Compared to my specimens of both species- I'd call them zelicaon. I suppose there is some variances within the respective species, with location being the factor, zelicaon occurs through the west, in different habitats, coast to desert, oregonius is more an eastern Oregon and Washington species. Zelicaon as far as I know is a smaller species than oregonius, my oregonius has about a 3.25" wingspan, the zelicaon, 2.5"

Thanks very much, spot on advice, I really appreciate it. I’m going with zelicaon: The FWL (apex to mid-thorax version) is Female just over 1.5 in, Male just under 1.5 in. The HW red ocellus has a circular black dot, unlike my machaon oregonius material which all streaks to the anal margin.
Great stuff guys. A

They look like P. zelicaon to me too, but I wouldn't want to be definitive.
