My latest (small) paper was published in the journal of the Butterfly Society of Japan, Butterflies, on 31 October.
Cotton, 2021. Lectotype designation for Papilio palinurus Fabricius, 1787 (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae). Butterflies, 86: 21-23.
Abstract: Since the extant syntypes of Papilio palinurus Fabricius, 1787 belong to two species, the specimen to which the name is currently applied is designated as lectotype to preserve prevailing usage and the origin of this specimen is discussed.
A pdf is available on request.

Hello Adam, so I see you are still alive ( !?!?) If possible, I would like to read it. My email ist joachim@jta.de Are you still working with XP? greetings Joachim Joachim, I just sent it to you. I hope you find it interesting. However I am not sure whether the after the comment about me still being alive means you are happy or sad to know that Yes I still have XP as I can't afford to upgrade, which would entail buying a new computer. If I can't find some dosh soon I may no longer be alive. Adam.

Hello everyone, the question if Adam is still alive was related to the financial situation, he would like to sell butterflies. Covid has also made things difficult in Thailand. I have a laptop here, bit older, which at least runs with windows 7, but I do not know how I get this to Thailand, there are certainly customs problems. I am surprised that someone does not just give him a PC, a used laptop would be enough. Adam answers every question competently, sends pictures and PDF files through the world, the forum is very important for many people, so I would find it good to help him there. Xmas is coming. Joachim

joachim, Thank you very much for your kind words and offer to send a laptop to me, but please do not try. It would not only cost a lot for shipping, but even more for import duty levied by customs on arrival here. The tax is about 100% of the value after including shipping costs. I suspect that the only reason they can sell computers at relatively low prices here (still rather higher than in Europe, I suspect) is because they are assembled here from imported and locally made parts, which lowers the tax on the finished item. Unfortunately my inability to afford a new computer is only a symptom of a larger problem. However, if someone buys my land for sale here (I am not suggesting anyone on Insectnet buy it as that would not be possible) my problems would be solved or at least a number of years. Adam.
